Best Bream Fishing

I have an older gentleman that used to love to bream fish at East Lake and other places for large bream.
Since I have bought a 17 ' jon boat, he has mentioned several times that he would sure love to go back and caught some big bream.
Does anyone know where I could carry this fellow to fullfill his wishes, I am not an avid Bream fisherman and so I don't have a clue.
Any lake or river know for nice bream in NC will do.

No specifics,just the locations.
