Default Coach Finally Catches a Fish

FishingBear and I went out to Lake Wheeler this afternoon to try our luck with the fishies and ... finally ... success! We caught 21 bream and crappie between us, mostly on fly rods. The Bear was using a white cork popper with rubber band legs and I was using a deer hair fly I tied a quarter century ago. My dad (who was a barber and hair stylist) dyed some deer hair for me -red and yellow- that I used to spin the flies.

Having caught a few, I'll keep fishing. Its just like my golf game ... I get enough birdies to outweigh the bogies to keep me on the links!

I'll try again Thursday if the weather cooperates.

Doc
