Crappie on Lk. Jordan

We are going down to Jordan this weekend to do a bowfishing tourney. I am going to take the crappie rod to (Hopefully) bring back some slabs for mama, I know where to get on the carp for the tourney, Can someone give me some info on the crappie? I know nothing about this lake as far as where to find the crappie, day/night and jig colors. I know some may say minners but I am really going for the carp shooting, and plan on the crappie to give me a break from standing on the platform all day/night. So I don't need to be taking up room on the boat with a minner bucket. I normally jig fish around home when I ever get the chance. Any info would be a great help.
