Seeing spawning white bass and.........

I'm seeing spawning white bass in the Broad River above Lake Lure in Rutherford County.

I've tried Rapalas, Yo-Zuris, white Roadrunners and a white in-line spinner.

No takers and few follows.

How does one catch white bass during the spawn or am I wasting my time?

The area I am fishing is swift, sorta deep and rocky below some riffles.
