Default Carolina Beach Pier Report

Took my son fishing the first time this year yesterday at CB pier. Weather was great and fishing was not to bad. Got there about 8:30 caught a mixed bag of bottom fish, 1 12" flounder, 1 11" summer trout , 25 whiting, 1 croaker, 6 dogfish and 5 skates. Caught all the fish on fresh shrimp and Gulp bloodworms. Ended up with 18 keeper whiting left about 4:30 and the family had the first fresh caught fish dinner for the year. Think that I may take the kayak out today at River Road Park have heard about some drum and trout in that area.
