Default obx trip

Went to the Banks for a few days last week and caught fish despite the record high temps, grass, and sauerkraut bryozoan. Caught pompano in the 1 lb. range on cut shrimp. Mole crabs were plentiful and the size of a quarter but never caught the first fish using them. Caught a few small sea mullet and blues in the 1 to 2 lb. range and some short flounder. One red was caught on cut mullet, a fat 24 incher and only saw two other reds brought in while there. My friends are still there and say the fishing is still the same; hot, windy, wet and grassy. Man those pompano sure were good eating!
