Post Surgery Update

Well, had my back surgery Monday, they had called Friday, and moved it up from 1:30, to 12:15, so my arrival time went from 11:30 to 10:00. Was called back at 10, IV started, nurse left, came back 5 minutes later, and said it had been moved back to 1:20!! BOY!! You talkin about Happy? I couldn't have been happier if I'd lost a 40 lb King Mac!! They took me to the pre op area about 11:15, and for some reason......I went to sleep shortly afterwards. When I woke up, it was done and over with. They said it only took about 45 minutes. Dr went in, and found 2 pieces of disc pressing on the nerve, and removed both..........left the rest intact. Didn't feel too bad afterwards, and about 5 PM, got up, and walked down to the end of the hallway and back. Spent the night there, and my brother and his wife, brought me home Tuesday about 11.
Seems like this is similar to a car wreck, didn't feel too sore the 1st day home, but, it's definately sore now. Doing OK otherwise. Only taking the pain meds when I feel like I need them. Been sleeping on the couch, cause the bed is just too "Flat" right now, even with pillows under my legs.
Well, better get up from here, and follow the Dr's orders of no extended sitting. Just wanted to chime in, and let you guys know how I was doing.
