Default Shark fishing, Atlantic beach area...??

Howdy all,

I'm looking for some suggestions on shark fishing from either shore, bridge (legally) or pier (legally).

I did quite a bit of shark fishing in the past few years, mainly b/c I lived 30 mins from the salt. Now I don't so I have to make this trip count.

I have the right rig, a beefy Okuma baitcaster spooled with tons of 80lb Powerpro, 14' surf rod, and plenty of piano wire and circle hooks.

The only problem is, my old shark haunts are 5 hours away.

Since I'll be in the area soon for a headboat trip, I want to spend the day before breaking in my Okuma and seeing if it's got the nards to handle some strong fish.

I'm really interested in places where there is an inlet (ie, deeper water nearby) or a pier that allows shark feeshin'.
