weekend of July 28th

Hey all,
I'm heading to outer banks (mp7) in a few weeks. I usually hit Avalon and Nags head piers, oregon inlet, and a few other well known spots. Anyone have advice on hooking into some decent game in these area? I'm not choosy about what i'm looking for, Spanish, Speckle, nice flounder, pompano, etc, but the last few times i've been down, i've had little luck. I realize to really get out to these fish, a boat is required, but any tips for the surf/pier fisherman would be great. thanks in advance
