Finally got back out !!

Well, I have been working on the honey-do-list for about a month now and finally got caught up and went out to Slocum Friday afternoon. Launched about 6:15pm and headed up creek to the split and started fishing. Water temp on the left was 89-90 and nothing was was moving . Fished the side for about 45 min with one strike but missed it. Trolled over to the other side and the temp went down almost 5 degrees to 84-85 and man what a change. First throw, nice little 1-2 lber. 2nd throw, the bait hit the water and immediately took a left turn. Didn't notice until it was to late and missed him. My son throw back to the same spot, hooked up again but came unbuttoned at the boat.

We fished for only about 1 1/2 hrs and caught 3, 1-2lbers and missed probably 7-8. Had them on but came off at the boat. But a great day in the heat. Gonna try and get back out there maybe Thurs.
