Default Haw River fishing

I'm new to the forum, and did a search but surprisingly, I could not find any threads for the Haw River that runs from Guilford on through Chatham county.

We've been going out there the past couple weekends, and have had pretty good luck. Its amazingly beautiful, and provides a decent number of catches (so far).

It seems like you could fish this river for years and never fish the same spot. I thought I would make this thread to see if anybody has any good locations to share (if people share their spots on here).

We walked about a mile upriver from the Hwy 64 bridge, and found several great spots. Caught a total of four largemouth and 2 channel cats.

Oh, and it also looks like an excellent river for fly fishing, especially for the piedmont.
