Default Nolichucky Trip!

Hey guys me and a couple buds are hoping to catch us a mighty musky down at the nolichucky this weekend!!! I know we won't because I have heard it's nearly impossible (fish of 10,000 casts. Especially when it isn't really native here) but there is always hope. Regardless, I have heard the smallmouth bass is pretty good.

We are hoping to fish really close from Appalachian State University but I was hoping you could help me out with a couple questions.

How easy is it to fish this river without a boat? none of my friends have one so we were hoping it would be easy to fish off shore or something like that. Do you know of any good spots? Also, if you know of any place that rents canoes or john boats please let me know.

Also what kind of fishing is good there and what is you guys' take on the river.

Thanks guys! I will let you know how our trip goes!!!
