Default Slocum Creek Again

Hit the ole creek early yesterday morning running hard, (well as hard as an old f--- can run. Fished several spots from the shore, lots of good sized bream, a nasty ole gar, then about 1600 hrs the cats started to show. Got a nice cooler full, one weighed right at five lbs, all the rest were two plus lbs. All in all a very good day. One thing that has me puzzled is I hooked the largest sting ray I have ever seen , off of Ordinance Point, just before dark, and it was dark + thirty before I got it up close enough to identify it. Lots of looky lous by that time . Wanted to weigh it just for kiks, but lust as it reached the beach, dear wife tried to help by grabbing the line, and it snapped, so by-by sting ray.
So if any of ya-all catch on to one with a carolina rig hanging out of his jaw, well, I been there and done that. Time to finish cleaning the cats. Al
