Default topwater smallies

finally got into some topwater action on some smallmouths in the french broad. fished the area below the water tratment plant, did somewhat o.k., will not complain with what we caught.(12, nothing large) it has been a dreary spring but the water levels are way low, which means lots of muck. used rapala skit'r pops and ultra light torpedoes. had a blast with the kid.
