Favorite Lure / Technique / Species

I'm sure we all have a favorite lure .. the first one pulled out of the box .. the one with the most productive history ...

Myself .. I'm a top water guy .. till I relocated south my favorite was a J9 Jointed Rapala (Blue) .. retrived just fast enough to feel the action but not so fast as to go sub surface .. it's a killer for northern bass .. but these southern bass can't seem to see blue ..

Now days it's a Lil Bandit .. silver & white .. dives to 6" .. but here again retrieve slow to keep it on top .. but considering the increasing number of fishless trips .. it's about to fall from grace ..
