Rod Holder for shore fishing

Easy and not that expensive to make. I took a piece of pvc pipe cut around 8 inches long from the discard pile at a construction site. These already had caps on them but caps are easily bought at any home improvement store. I then cut a hole in the cap about the same size as a Tent spike. When I got to where I wanted to fish I stuck the tent spike in the ground and pulled it out to make a hole. Then I took the spike I used to make the hole put it in the hole in the cap of the pvc pipe and using a stick or the handle of a hammer I pushed it on down inside the hole. Held my rod perfect for about 5 hours yesterday. Hope this is useful.
