| Tuesday the 25th, we put in at Carolina Beach and motored to the Inlet. The tide was falling very fast, around 10am. We drifted toward the mouth of the inlet using bottom rigs and flounder rigs. Six times and nary a bite. We tried fresh shrimp, Gulp shirmp and cut bait. So we motored to Snows Cut just before the bridge where we caught some flounder last year.........NADA! We moved up under and past the bridge near the rocks...........NADA! We finally called it a day and headed back to the ramp. As we were hauling out, someone asked "what'd you get?" I said..."a nice tan." No problem, there's always another day filled with dreams of the "BIG" one. |
