Default chopped liver?

Ok, everyone knows Chicken Livers are an awesome, cheap cutbait/stinkbait, whatever you want to classify it as.

But when I fish with it, i end up spending %90 of the time trying to keep it on the stupid hook. It seems like every time it shakes or moves, the livers just disintegrate right off of the hook.

I'm looking for some tips/tricks/hints to keep those stupid livers on the hook so I dont spend all that time reeling in and re-baiting.

I was thinking of wrapping a cutting of my wife's pantyhose around it, but for real, that didn't seem too plausible, and seemed wasteful.

thoughts?
