Default Fishing the Anacostia River

I know Im not in NC, but here is a good fishing story for you. I have been a member of NAFC for a few years now. When you sign up to be a full member/ life member you get a reel and a rod. Well the reel was nice for fresh water. So, Today I had to work a weekend day at the Display ship Barry in DC. It was a pretty good day at work. Around 5 when we were closing up we decided to do a little fishing before the Sea Cadets came to spend the night on the ship. We started fishing around 530ish and we were catching cat like crazy. Every one we would catch just kept on getting bigger and bigger. Got some pics of them but will have to upload them later, due to being on a military computer. Well to make it short. The last fish that was on the line was estimated to be around 35 pd. He snapped my rod and right before I got my thumb in his mouth he snapped the line. She broke my rod, she broke my line, and she broke my heart. LOL sound like a country song. But all in all, it turned out like a good day of fishing.
