Another forum I am on a lot of guys do a year in review and I always like reading them and I don’t think I will get out fishing anymore this year so this is my review. Most of my 2007 fishing took place in MA but I put the pics in anyways, hope you guys don’t mind. I had a very productive year in both the Salt and Fresh water and hope that 2008 is just as good to me.
2007 was the first year I really spent a good amount of time targeting LM Bass. Before this year my PB had been around 3lbs. I upgraded 3 times starting with a 4-6, then a 5-8, and ended with a 6-4. The 4-8 was a swimbait fish, 5-8 came on a jerk bait, and the 6-4 came on a Jig’n’Pig.
4-6
5-8
6-4
This year has been the best saltwater fishing I have ever had. I caught more big stripers this year than I had caught the whole rest of my life. Pretty much every night I went out I caught at least one fish in the 20-25lb class. I also caught my PB at 33lbs and it was good enough to take first place in my fishing club catch and release from shore division tournament. I have quite a few pictures so bear with me.
PB at 33lbs
My father and I with a couple from the kayaks
This was actually the smallest fish of this particular night but the first keeper so the rest got to swim away.
This was the last night I got to striper fish before I moved down here.
My father, brother and me that last night.
Then I moved down here and started catching reds and trout
My first red
My best trout so far
Hope to read everyone elses year in review.
