Default NCWRC to consider legalizing crayfish traps

Well I got an email from Kent Nelson about legalizing the larger opening crayfish traps.

They will consider it for 2009.

If you support that change, you can send email by way of the NCWRC website.

Just say you want to see crayfish traps legalized

I also proposed allowing the collecting mottled sculpin out of trout streams (but not wild streams) for fishing bait w/ small nets.

Sculpin are small cold water fish that make great smallmouth bass bait.

Problem is it's illegal to collect them in trout streams where they have their highest abundance.
