Default Palomar knot--- best way....confusion???

I have always tied my hooks and lures with either the clinch knot, snell, or with a perfection knot (circle hooks).

I decided to re-master the palomar knot and found two variations out there, and wanted to see if anyone else noticed this difference or if they thought it made a hill of beans difference.

The big question is, do you let the loop stay south of the eye when tightening, like this one:

Or do you slip the loop over the eye onto the body of the knot like this one:

Any comments are appreciated!
