Pontoon boat and trolling motor?

I am thinking very seriously about buying the following:
Minn Kota® PowerDrive™ V2 Bow-Mount Trolling Motor - 68 PD V2 Pontoon

My question is will I need an on board charger as well? I have 2-12v batteries, interstate. One being a deep cycle the other a regular battery.

Also, does anyone on here have this model? Would you consider getting the hand tiller vs the foot control, to save room on the deck?
