My son and his girlfriend went to Southport (Elizabeth River) and I gave her the double bottom rig using only "fresh" shrimp, while we used live minnows on cork rigs and D.O.A.s looking for reds. We got one nonkeeper flounder and a skate .
The real fun was watching the young lady, pulling in croakers two at a time for over and hour. We didn't have time to fish. As soon as she said I'm tired, we pulled up anchor and looked forward to the next trip.
