| I thought the photo-fans and coastal history buffs might appreciate this... The Museum of the Albemarle in Elizabeth City is hosting an exhibit of Ansel Adams proofs from a trip he made down the intercoastal from VA to GA in 1940. Exhibit runs through Dec 2. Here's the museum link: Welcome to the Museum of the Albemarle These are not the kind of prints that he's famous for, just small proofs taken with a handheld camera. There is some controversy around whether or not these should have been displayed in an exhibit. WRAL has more details at Ansel Adams' Photo Proofs on View :: WRAL.com. Sounds cool, but I doubt I'll find a way out there before its over. Wish they'd bring it to Raleigh... |
