my last Illinios deer ?

took this buck with 2 hours left of daylight on the last day of the first season.( in Illinios you gun hunt the fri.-sun. before Thanksgiving and thurs.-sun. after.) there is a anterless only season in January also.
a hunter can use either a shotgun slug, muzzel-loader, or handgun. i've always used a 12ga. slug, old Ithica with open sights. i like that big chunk of lead ! i kill at least two deer a year and never have shot over 50yds. in fact most of my deer are shot less than 25yds., this one was at 40ft. and i was on the ground. i passed on a smallish 7pt. the day before that was 10ft. from the end of that 12ga. bore !, that was intense...
