Our "Better Half"

Tomorrow, the wife and I observe another anniversary. We took the opportunity to celebrate last night with a trip to a great seafood place in Greensboro. With L'il Silt in school, funds are tight, but it is pretty important to celebrate moments...they really do go by quickly.

Over the years, there have been at least two major car accidents, one major surgery and too many sick days to count. There have been weekends in Charleston, Weeks in Hatteras, long road trips and afternoons at Lake Jordan. There have been days when I have been able to run off to Topsail just to fish, and she rarely carps about the enormous collection of Rods and Reels out in my shop.

With Erin away, we have both started a couple of new interests: She is taking a real estate class, and I have rekindled music as a hobby.

As a bachelor well into my 30's, I figured marraige would be constricting. Far from it.

I hope there's a "Better Half" (or "Handsome Half" as a female friend puts it) that truly enriches your life.
