Default Bimini and double line leader

After I make a long loop using a bimini knot, how do I twist the two legs to make a shock leader? I have read about cutting the tip of the loop to make two parallel lines, twisting them, tieing an overhand knot to keep them twisted. I am knot sure how you are supposed to twist them though. I then will double back the end, Twist the loop of double line just made, and tie a double overhand loop knot. This should give me 1 strand going to a twisted 2 strand followed by a twisted double strand loop (4 strands). Does this sound correct? What I can't find information on is how to twist the two parallel strands after I cut the tip of the bimini loop. Any advice will be greatly appreciated.
Keith
