Question Crab Bait!

I have heard that Calico Crabs and baby blue crabs are great baits for large site feeders. I know how to find a blue crab, I get plenty of those on cut-bait and not-so-live minnows, but how do catch Calico Crabs? I have seen dead ones or what is left of the shells washed up in the surf, but never seen one alive. Any tips are appreciated.

Sand fleas are great too! The biggest puppy drum I ever caught was near the inlet (ocean side) on the point at Emerald Isle using a flea!
