Default Custom squid teaser

Decided to piece together another teaser bar. When fishin with Mike last weekend, we ended up gettin pretty much washed out, so to fill some time we went to Tex's tackle there in Wrightsville. While there, I noticed the new teaser bars with side line reinforcements.. so to start another project I picked 3 4pk's of Williamson squid baits and a teaser.

Here's a step by step of how I set it up and if interested I can list materials used if anyone is interested in doing one themselves. If someone doesnt have the time to build one I could work something out to build one for you.

For what it's worth, this 9 inch squid teaser at 8 ft long cost roughly $50 to make, compare this to ready made order by internet and you can easily see the savings as they usually run between $100-$230 depending on how fancy you want to get with them. This latest rig I've made is called my diamond pattern and I use the darker squids to be fished for rougher weather or overcast/cloudy days.

My last rig, High Speed rig used 12 pink 9 inch Williamson squids, 300 lb mono, 300 lb crimps, with stainless line protectors and anti line chaffing protectors as well.
All my rig's share the same end bait set ups (i.e. dual hooked outside baits -- one 8/0 J-hook, and one dual point tuna hook, the inside lines have one either 8/0 blood circle or J-hook, and the main center line has a snap swivel for addition of a trailer cedar plug, mahi/sail type lure, flyin fish...ect...). Note-- for the not so good weather rigs, I add a small lead egg weight to the very rear outside baits to keep them just a little further down instead of riding on the surface. For line/hook/swivel/crimp info.. just PM or post here and I suggest what materials to use... (it's not rocket science by any means, but quality parts do last/wear longer).

Anwhoo... here's some pix!

Reinforced spreader bar, find a good spot to hang it up as this makes it easier while riggin, I use a bungy cord on my garage door rebar to hang the bar

Williamson baits can be trolled up to 9 knots, you can use as many as you need, I use
11 for this rig which I will need to form my diamond pattern squid school spread

Getbaits and parts ready for rigging

Installing the protective stainless steel line sleeves (preppin the bar)

Gently use plyers to close the gap on the protective sleeves
