Default Pier gaffs

Someone wanted to know about making a gaff using plated hooks and using lead for weight. While it isn't difficult to do any welder worth his salt can make you a much better and longer lasting gaff. Here are pics of one my father made for me 27 yrs ago. So far I've yet to lose a fish with it and it has gaffed more chopper blues and kings than most pier fisherman would believe.
