Default Spooling Tip For Today

Whenever you are putting new line on your reels, this little tid bit may help you out. While cranking a reel and passing monofiloment( conductive material ) over metals or plastics, static electricity is generated, a good little miniature dynamo. Wow! Static electricity causes lines to kink. Wow! Again!

To eliminate this problem, pass your line thru a sheet of fabric softener paper or put liquid fabric softener on a cotton ball while applying tension. Another aid is using silicones on a cotten ball. (silicone spray lubricants or carpet cleaning defoamers). They act as insulators and will also provide lubrication.

Try it and you might like it and it's cheap.
