The best day 3rd of July

I have been fishing all my life but I still don't consider myself qualified to give a fishing report but I feel compelled to tell you guys about the 3rd of July. Going off some intel from a guy at Lee's bait and tackle I decided to head down to the #3 Lock and Dam. We got there about sun up and there was a boat on the East side of the dam between the buoy these guys were catching fish left and right. We were using chicken livers, and catching nothing. These guys were using a casting net and using live bait. Well we forgot our net and asked if we could use theirs, they were so gracious enough to let us borrow it for 20 min where we caught 10 smaller fish with it. Well that was all we needed we spent another 4 hours right there by the dam and caught 6 cats all over 10 lbs. If it wasn't for that guy with the net we would have had a horrible day. I thank that guy whoever you are for making that trip one to remember I even had a great time. One thing that yall need to remember when fishing at that dam is that you need to take alot of terminal gear I lost almost 60 rigs in just a little over 6 hours of fishing. For almost an hour and a half I didn't even have a pole in the water I was just tieing knots. But it's some place I'll be heading back to for sure. Thank you for all your information and help.
