Permission to post, refresh issue

Ok, gotta type this quick or I`ll just waste it. That is my question/point. If I take too long (how long I don`t know) to finish a post, It will tell me to refresh and I haven`t found a way to do this without losing what I`ve typed and having to start over. ( i just normally forget it at that point, and don`t redo) Am I missing something in the click ok and refresh process that will let me NOT lose what I`ve done up to that point? I`m a decent typist I just either have too much too say or just have 2 kids bugging me.
