    Helicoil will work. Oil may be coming from the lower unit (gear housing) coming up the shaft.

    Google ARCO. They are out of FL and make the electrical starter for marine engine. I found them to be very friendly and helpful.

    Very possible when you are operating at the low end of a gauge. Tach go from 0 to 10,000 rpm So below 700 it could not read. Not sure but that is my guess.

    If you go, get there early and be ready for the crowds. Since they open the ramps, it has been a non-stop crowd. Last Saturday, two Bass Clubs with over 50 boats and not to mention the rec. anglers....

    I recommend that you put a fuse as close to the battery terminal as possible. This way if you get a short, it will cut the power at the battery. Run a feeder line from your battery to your switch...
