About surferdude814
About Me:
I was born and raised in Goldsboro, and don't plan on leaving anytime soon, although I would like too someday! I have gone to a Baptist church and school all my life, which I think has helped shape the way I view many things. I am married to the most beautiful girl in the world- cliche', I know, but true- and I am enjoying our new(to us) house and new life together! I currently go to school at ECU and am a Business major. I love hanging out with friends and having a good time. I'm an extremely passive person and I can get along with just about anybody.

Agreed, bass metabolism varies throughout the year. But relative to smaller fish, they don't eat nearly as often. We need to start a thread on sharing big bass BS and stop hijacking other people's...

I agree with you. Big bass don't hit a bait with reckless abandon generally, save pre-spawn and pre-winter. But they do take a bait completely different than smaller fish. Small fish attack a bait,...

I have fished wiggins and buckhorn, but not tar. I hear a lot of stories about huge crappie out of tar reservoir, but I've not had any good success with large crappie at wiggins or buckhorn. I want...

Fished my local lake today for a few hours. Followed the current to the windy side and found some shad schools hanging right off the edge of the creek channel. Once again the pearl super fluke was...

Right now is good for bream fishing as they are a month or so away from spawning in most places. I'm going out Sunday with my 3 wt looking for some 'gills and shellcrackers. I caught several male...

If the bite is slow, fish slow and just assume that the fish are either spawning or have just come off the beds. I live in Goldsboro too, and I'm still finding some decent fish on the lake and on the...

I'm sure it would on a river. I caught one on the lake I fish a little over 30 lbs a few years ago on accident while bass fishing. It took half an hour to get it in but I got it. I tried to weigh it,...

I found two fish washed up on shore just like that two years ago. Never thought I would see it happen again. Makes me wonder how often that happens
