Hey man, saw your post on Orange county bassin'...what a nice crappie that was that you caught! I know this is your honey hole, but was hoping maybe you'd help out a catch-and-release kayak angler who will probably only visit the place once or twice a year? I've been doing my google earth research and think I have it narrowed down to two places. Were you on Cane Creek Resevoir??? Or, there is a larger resevoir 1 mile West of Lake Orange that is not shown on topo maps, etc, that I can find no info on. Must be a newer resevoir. I'm thinking that might have been the lake you were fishing. Do you know of that lake? Is it public access? Any help would be appreciated! Thanks and tight lines!

Several months ago you made a Friendship request of me, and I refused it based on my lack of understanding if just what that is. I have an understanding now, and am open and ready to have site members on my freinds list. Thank you for your understanding before. I just needed to know.

OK, it's in 'NC Angler Member's Boats'. Search for just 'WaterQuest' and it should come up, if it's not still on the right side of the home page.

My report on the WaterQuest was too long to put here. The site said I had about 4244 too many characters (limit 1000), so I'm going to post it in a product review thread. Search for WaterQuest 11.3.

cool not a problem I looked at those water quest boat's do you like it ? is it rigids enough for a gas motor or would you just stick to tolling motor's on it ?

    Thanks for understanding.

Quick note. I'll add to this boat report soon. I'm out of time right now.

The WaterQuest is an outstanding design from a feature, layout, and usability standpoint. It is not outstanding from a quality of construction standpoint. They charge more for it than its quality justifies.

Details to follow. Overall I'm very glad I have it.

Since I don't know what that is, I guess it's not. I googled images of a strip boat and all that came up was pics of a 'cedar strip boat'. It looks to be made strips of cedar laminated together. That's not what mine is.

Mine is plastic, similar to a jonboat, but enhanced with molded-in features from the bass boat world - such as front casting deck and pedestal seats, front t-motor mount, wiring for electronics, and a live-well. Google KL Industries and look at their fishin' boats page. WaterQuest 11.3 is what I have.

Nope even though I've in waves that I probably shoudnt have haha... it's an old advertisment for either Carolina Skiff or Boston Whaler. I though it was a really cool picture.

Live in Holly Springs, fished NC fresh and salt (inland) all my life. I fish bass club tournaments with my dad out of Wilson, NC once a month. Me and a buddy have a Mad River canoe that we fish ponds and lakes around Raleigh with.
