Just saw this message! Keep me in mind for Randleman and Macintosh from late Feb. on to late March. I can go lots of Fridays and some Sunday afternoons. I start thinking rivers after the pre-spwan on the lakes is over. I also love Michie March 15-30 for big fish.

I would say it should be somewhere in mid to upper 50s by now. Theres been some cool nights so thats probably brought it down,I expect. I havent been on the water in about 2 weeks and Im itching to get out too. Thought about heading to Macintosh tomorrow(Sunday). If you are interested let me know.

on the East map, i've waded up and down from the Old Cole Mill Rd entrance. there's a canoe launch there but isn't the greatest spot.

there's also a canoe launch at guess road, entrance is just north on the east side of guess road. not bad, but again, low flow. waded upstream from there.

fews ford would be my recommendation with your young son.

sorry, i'm only familiar with the Eno, and only certain parts via wading. i've read on here that there's a launch site east of penney's bend, which is probably best if u want to canoe, since the water is pretty low right now.

go to the nc parks and rec for Eno info. if u look at the West map, i've been to Fews Ford canoe launch, but i don't recommend bringing your canoe as the water is pretty low. i've took my kids here along with friend's younger kids 4yr+ and they love wading, catching minnows with hand nets. it's a good place to also fish with bobber for panfish, or wade up or down river for small bass and such. if u stop at the ranger's office, u can reserve a primitive site close by for overnight camping (i have not camp, so do not know).

Stay away from this canoe! They are very heavy and expensive. After just two years of light use, ours is leaking and coming apart. Wish we could get our money back.
