I would like to make this gathering since I did not last year , so i would be happy to get in on/share cost of #9 if available. I would be there all weekend if so.
Looking forward to seeing some friends and meeting others.

I hereby challenge any NuCanoe's present (including Pursuits) to a Friday early evening race from the boat launch to the far shore and back....

think about that... Like the running of the bulls in pampalona... This would be "the running of the turtles". (note: Turtling is optional and not recommended).

Just thought it would be amusing. And there should be 5-6 nukes present.

After all is said and done.... A heck of a lot more will be said than done

Jerry Condrey and Guffey may be coming as well.....although I'll believe that when I see it.

    Have you seen this man?

Is there decent fishing at the tailrace? If so that's likely where I'll be Friday PM. If not then I'll be battling for second to last place in the NuCanoe race.

I have never personally caught fish from the dock at the tailrace but I know some people who catfish there. The float from the Tailrace to Smoot Park is on the calendar for Friday and Saturday and its a good run with lots of opportunities to catch a variety of fish. Some nice fish have been caught in the lake as well.

I've had followups at the tailrace but usually I end up just dropping the vessel in the river when I'm ready to really catch some fish.

    You should kick butt.

I don't know why I find it so funny... but I do.

    I didn't know there was a Friday float...cool.

I will commence training for the race by doing "paddle ups" on the local flows I fish as frequently as possible, starting this Sunday.

We have a paddling race with some weekend warriors and a river man who paddles pretty much everyday. Let me see I wonder who is going to win.

Heh Jacob, I just talked to a doctor and he doesn't recommend you attending a Wedding and putting all that strain on your knee. He suggested that a weekend of physical therapy at the Kerr Scott Meet followed with vitamins from a mason jar would really set you on the road to recovery.

I will loose miserably . It is my luck. I train my paddling by shoveling rocks at work. . my body is accustom to dig and pull. But when I get on the water it is about silence I try to make as little noise as possible . For efficiency . It works well sometime .
