A new development in my thinking on the winner of this event has to be considered. All bets are on the 1 MOOSE POWERED YAK 👍

No... that is 400 lbs of yak and paddler. I don't expect to finish last. but definitely not first.

Other kayaks are welcome to join in... But I only challenge the nukes.

To increase the odds on my contestant winning which none is needed but I'm offering my carbon fiber NuCanoe paddle with the official logo to the 1 MOOSE to use for the race.

I have seen you paddle over 3 mph actually close to 4 mph and from my observation you didn't even break a sweat. So I'm still pulling for the big man to take the trophy if we had one.

That is a strong speed . His reach has him at a sheer advantage.. a long paddle he would be a serious competitor

To make it fair any Pursuit owners should have to tow a inner tube with an ice chest full of beer.

Len can stay up with me in a 14.5 slayer, several years back before he lost weight.

Now that I lost 50 pounds, I am all weak.... My biceps have shrunk to only 17".

It actually has killed my golf swing... I haven't figured out how to swing without compensating for so much gut moving.

I can make a nice sized wake on the frontier... 4mph is probably stretching my limits though.

Now there is a man who would make a terrific judge especially if any penalties are handed out.

Migh t see if the wife would like to join in on the race with her Pro Angler 12 for fun. Have clocked her at 6.4 mph a few years back.

I have hit 5 in the Drifter which has a great hull, and a low seat, (I think a lower angler helps with speed) I can do 4 in the pursuit but 3.5 is the fastest comfortable speed.

I am definitely not racing my Nucanoe Party Barge across that lake. Need to reserve my strength for fishing. I will, however, agree to Judge the event. Award to be given at the Saturday night Cinco de Kayak meal. I do have a bit of Judging experience. Should anyone else like to race my Frontier 12 they are welcome to use it.

Also I am mortified that Ray's post concerning nice fish coming from that lake did not include a particular Spotted Bass.

Good to see you back from the lagoon. I was starting to think that the lagoon worked a spell on you and setup a permanent camp.
