Default Lost My Favorite Fishing Buddy Today

Hey Guys i have not been on here in a while and for good reason.

About 4 years ago my Dad developed Dementia and we have been dealing with it ever since. it started out very slowly and then he had an accident on an atv that really put things into motion. in the last year he went from weighing 175 to 105 and today we had to say goodbye. i can only say this man taught me everything i know about hunting and fishing. he was a godly man who was also married to my mom for 48 years. he showed me and my older brother what a true man is all about and how we are to treat our wives. this man made me into the man i am today. i can only say that he will be missed and that i will see him again. please keep my family in your prayers as we go through this time. i only have memories but thats going to be just fine as all the memories i have are great ones. the last four years have been rough on my mom who was taking care of my dad as my brother and i both work. we would fill in on the weekends so she could have a break but it has been a long road. anyway i just wanted to let you guys know what was going on and why i haven't been here in a while.

    Man I've been missing you!
And had wonder several times where you were.
I can say that your Father taught you how to be a fisherman and
    you learned well.
Not just the catching a fish part b ut the ethics of it also!
Your Dad's done his part now spread it to who you come in contact with. May he RIP.

I marvel how the fishes live in the sea.
Why, as men do a-land; the great ones eat up the little ones.

My condolences to you...I lost my dad over ten years ago and it was very tough. But after the pain had eased up over time my brothers and sisters and mom can sit around and tell stories and laugh about good memories and the time we had with him and the reflections...he was a character. Sorry for your loss brother. Healing takes time.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you. It will be hard for a while but know that the Lord is good and the power of prayer does help. I also lost my Dad a week ago and I can tell you I have felt the prayers and I have become a stronger more religious person in my time of morning. I have never thought of myself as a very religious person but I do believe. You can bet that there is one heck of a party going on in heaven today. We all will be there one day to join in the party too. Say strong for your mom. Next week take a day and go fish. Your Dad would want it that way. Check out Miss Reba McEntire new gospel album. It help me. God Bless.
