Hey Ya'll,

I am looking to sell my sea eagle 285fpb (fishing pontoon boat), or trade it for a kayak. I'd prefer a kayak with a chair, but will consider other trades if they do well in rivers and creeks with some moving water (do not want a sit-in kayak). My ideal kayak would be the Nucanoe Frontier 12.

I am selling the boat for $450

I purchased the boat used about 6 months ago, I have the original purchase documents, and it was purchased new in 2015. This is a great one person fishing boat, and works best on ponds and lakes, although I have used it on the Cape Fear River and had a great time.

The are MANY benefits of this boat over a jon boat, canoe or kayak, but the primary one is the ease of storage. The boat deflates and folds into a bag approximately 3 feet long x 2 feet tall x 1 foot wide, and only weighs about 30lbs (inflated or deflated), with the floorboard and motor mount on it weighs about 42 lbs, and can easily be handled by one person. I do have the cart for it, so you can set it up with the motor(s), fishing gear, etc. and then easily wheel it down to the water, the boat also fits in the back of a pickup when it's inflated. Like a canoe or jon boat, you sit up high off the water on the seat and you can stand up and fish.

The boat has been used, but is still in great condition, with some superficial scratches on the bottom and some scratch marks on the wood floor and a little corrosion on the seat snap (used to lock it down). Also, the handles in the back are ripping, and have ripped about 1/2 way across. They ripped when I was learning how to strap the boat down in the back of the truck and I messed up, but now I know how to strap it down without using the handles. Also, you don't actually need the handles, when the boat is empty, it's very light and easy to just pick up and carry (like a big raft you use at the ocean), and when it is loaded you can just pick up and carry by the motor mount (problem solved).

The boat was originally purchased with the Pro Package, so it comes with:
Current package price is $899 new, https://www.seaeagle.com/FramelessFishingBoats/285fpb
