Just in on the NC angler forum. Wife's Family all from NC so we have made NC our summer vacation spot for years.

I used to drag a sailboat from OK to fish the coast in the Carolina Beach area. WE now have purchased retirement property on the South end of Pamlico Sound (Garbacon Creek, straight North of Beaufort) and traded the Cal 20 in for an X-Factor Kayak. I will be on the sound at least a week each summer learning Garbacon Shoal. Already had some success there last summer on trout and reds, but hoping to hook up with other yakkers for trout, reds and maybe even some tarpon action this summer.
