Default directions to Marshall Steam Station at Lake Norman

Can anybody assist me in driving directions to Marshall Steam Station at Lake Norman? I seem to be getting everything BUT that from Google Maps... operator error? *facepalm* LOL

I'd like to take the wife out there for some night shore fishing - from what I've read around here, it's a good place to take it easy but still have a chance to get our strings stretched.

    thanks in advance,
    Tony

From Charlotte. North on 77, exit 36 (Hwy. 150), hang a left. Go several miles. Cross a bridge over Norman (Marina and bait store on your left), go up the hill and the steam plant is visible on the right. You will actually cross a high bridge over the hothole canal itself. Even though the plant is on the right you will be making a LEFT off of 150 onto Kiser Island Rd. Then take your first left and then a right onto the dirt road that leads to the parking lot.

Good catfishing. Might have a pretty good current if they are making steam so bring some heavy sinkers.

Lot's of very fiesty spotted bass close to shore around the rip rap.
