Default Sunfish Quiz...How well do you know them

Saw this neat quiz on sunfish ID. Open the link and then click the orange writing where it tells you. See how well you do.

That was a pretty cool quiz... I got 100% too but it wasn't easy by any stretch.

I'm useless on this stuff. I gave up after like 5 wrong answers on the first two questions.

That's why I'm in IT... It's either a zero or a one, no "if it has red all the way around, unless it has green ...."

Took it. Failed. Will have to be happy being knowledgeable about other things. Too many 'if this's' & 'possibly that's' to keep up with.
They are all now officially 'Bream' to me. I am bliss.

Thanks Scott, I may have goeen about 50% right. Notice I didn't say 50% wrong? I think sometimes I could study fish constanly for 2 years, and still not be able to recognize some of them. The warmouth was interesting. Got it wrong, but didn't look quite closely enough at the mouths. I think my grandfather used to call warmouths goggle eyes. Are they one and the same? The ones I've caught have all been a dark color, but in the description, it said they could take on the colors of their surroundings. I still get blue gills all mixed up.

Around 75%.....Alot of guessing. I use an extensive scientific classification system and refer to them all as "bream"

That's my word for them also Tom. Most of the time, I'll just say pan fish. I recognize a red ear, and a warmouth in the waters that I fish locally. I call the ones around here that have the orange bellies river robins. Everything else is bream, or pan fish. I wasn't much into fresh water fishing until about 5 years ago, so I still have a lot to learn. Since I have learned to fly fish, I mostly fish for pan fish. Bass are nice to catch also on a fly rod, but I actually prefer catching pan fish.

Cool quiz. I only missed one but I think thats because they gave us the info necessary to identify with each question. In the field I would probably fail miserably. I agree with Slickrock, they're all bream.
