    Default Honey Hole Fishin'

    Date: 2/18/2012
    Location: Honey Hole
    Target: BASS

Well today me and Trangler went to colonel beatty park in the am from 8:30ish to 12ish and he caught a solid 4lb 8oz bass (He posted his own thread here )but after that we took a lunch break and decided to head out to another local honey hole we have around 3:30 and stayed till 6. Trangler fished this honey hole last weekend and caught 9 bass and a bluegill, the bass were right at a pound or so which is basically what we caught today. I caught 5 bass and he got 3, we doubled up once and had a blast!! Even though they were small....they still were fun to catch and definitely enjoyable. Hopefully one day they will grow a bit. We caught all bass today off of Strike King Red Eye Shad 1/2oz Lipless Crankbait Bluegill Color.

    First bass for me 13oz

    2nd bass 9oz chunk

Rest of the bass all 15oz..soo close to 1lb

And finally the double of the day....I am holding the bass oh yeah...Mines bigger

    Hope you enoyed

If you don't have any connections to any other honey holes...then stay at Beatty. My friend has been killin' them out there!!

It's interesting, b/c at my neighborhood pond the fish basically only hit smaller baits... even the 3 and 4lbers.
They like 4-5in works, inline spinners, chatterbait minnow.
I wonder why they don't hit the bigger baits (spinner baits, red eye shad, etc.) when I throw them?

@bluesky its all about whatever their natural food is and what else is in the pond, maybe the colors you're using don't match up

2nd that^ Could be the colors, could be the bait, or it could be they just want a smaller meal. But either way...throw what works!! As long as it catches bass
