Expert angler Gene Kugach offers hundreds of tips and techniques for catching all types of freshwater fish based on his years of onstream experience. Filled with easy-to-understand illustrations, and geared for both the novice and the more experienced angler, "Freshwater Fishing Tips and Techniques" covers every aspect of freshwater fishing. 300 drawings.
This book is a random collection of tips separated into ten chapters -- General Tips, Bait, Rigging, Presentation, Fly Fishing, Fly tying, Ice Fishing, Tackle, Cleaning & Cooking, and Fish Facts. If I had more expertise in the area of fishing, this is the kind of book I would flip through casually looking for a gem that I could use. As a novice, it showed me dozens of ideas with little guidance for when to use what (for example, fourteen knots listed as good for tying hooks).
Not bad -- depends on what you're looking for.
