Fishing has been real slow for bass so far...can scratch a few nice ones out of the bushes...alot of males 1-2 lbs...no fish have shown signs of fanning...the crappie have been on fire in the bushes as well...crow, swearing, and crane creeks in the back 1/3 of coves...and the catfish have really started hitting well...we managed 17 last night, biggest two flatties were 36, and 29, 2 blues around 15-17 lbs, and a nice channel around 10lbs...fish hit cut shad til dusk then switched to bream and thats where the majority of the big fish came from...with all that rain the water temps cooled down 6-8 degrees...water rose about 7-8 inches from sunday to monday at noon...everything should start getting fired up in the next few weeks
Thanks for the report! Ive been fishing reedy and second creek with a few nice bass on the main lake points. That was saturday, big tourny going on out of tamarac so it was pretty fished out. Lots of people were catching undersized crappie off the laydowns. How deep have the cats been?
been catching cats from 6-12ft...we went last night and had a few 20-25 lbers ended up with 13 in 2.5 hrs...theyd hit in bunches when the **** would start pullin water and when they stopped pullin ya wouldnt get a hit...it was kinda like bass fishing in the summer time on the high spots
