Pros: easy to inspect air valve assy and condition of air cartridge, compact, adjustable waist band, very light weight
Cons: needs two part operation, will not upright unconsious person, must be worn to count as part of PFD count on boat, not automatic, must be manually deployed

easy to wear and is more of a swimming aid to a person that's a good swimmer.
Easy to repack and to inspect. Must be manually deployed and requires a neck strap to be pulled up and placed behind head.. so this is NOT a automatic pfd that will self deploy and it will NOT upright an unconcious person.

Good to have a back up when wearing a regular type III vest type foam PFD.

I dont recommend this as the only means of floatation for open ocean waters, but is better than nothing. Very compact, lightweight and easy to forget you have it on.
