Description:

Shimano markets this reel as fresh water but it can be used in salt also. I used it for the fist time at Virgina Beach and it handled a 17 pound stripper with no problems. I am very pleased. (posted by Drag Screamer).

Pros:	price, performance
Cons:

I bought one earlier this summer with a Shimano rod in fact. I use it for jigging up bait fish as well as casting for Spanish, blues and even a flounder from time to time. Has a smooth action and is a good value for the money.

It seems that we think alike because I attached my reel to the Shimano Sojourn graphite rod 7\' medium/heavy with fast action. I have it spooled with 12lb fluorocarbon P-Line with a 7 foot 25lb fluorocarbon shock leader. I am going to chug a plug, and walk the dog to slay many of the Red, Blue, and Stripped saltwater bruisers this season.
